How do I hit the ball?: Put a finger anywhere on the screen, drag back like a slingshot and let go. The farther you pull, the harder you hit; a short pull rolls like a putt and a long pull lofts it high. The line shows where the shot starts out. Drag back to where you started to cancel.
How do I look around?: Slide two fingers sideways to turn the camera, up and down to tilt it, and pinch to zoom.
What's the score?: Your total strokes across every hole you've played. Par only tells you what kind of hole it is.
What happens in water or out of bounds?: Water costs one penalty stroke and you play again from where you hit. Past the white stakes is out of bounds: the stroke counts and the ball goes back to where you hit it.
Does the wind matter?: Yes, from hole 11 on. The arrow under your score shows which way it blows and how strong it is, and the flag and grass move with it. Aim off to let it carry the ball.
How do I turn off the sound or the music?: Tap the speaker icon in the bottom corner to switch between full, soft and off. The music-note icon turns the music on or off.
Will I lose my progress?: Your progress is saved on your device the moment each ball drops. It stays through updates, but deleting the app deletes it.
